I was in New York last week and decided to go on an expedition to find the headwaters of Central Park’s “Gill,” which is the stream that runs south ending in a waterfall above The Lake.
I hadn’t walked the full length in a while, and it’s been restored a couple of times in my life, so it’s not quite as I remembered it. Most importantly, you can’t really get into the “headwaters” without wading through a pool. While I might try that in August, a cool April day isn’t really good timing for it.
Enjoy!
